Energex Whole House consists of two injection moulded fan units that feature easily detachable air inlet manifolds/grilles. These give access to the washable fibre air filters.
The motors in the fan units are of two speed external rota type with backward curved impeller blades, they run on ball bearings and are fitted with safety thermal cut-outs. The motors are mounted on heavy gauge steel plates which are, in turn, attached to the fan body via four rubber vibration isolation mountings.
The motors are controlled by a printed circuit board fitted into one of the fan units. The printed circuit board has surge protection.
The two fan units are attached to a central chamber that contains the heat exchange matrix. The chamber is precision constructed from 22 gauge zitec steel and is finished in white epoxy powder paint. The chamber has an acoustic foam lining that also functions as air sealing gasketing. Access to the heat exchange chamber is via a removable top panel - this is retained by four M6 screws.
The Energex Whole House Unit has provision for three extract ducts from the dwelling. The fresh air supply to the dwelling is sourced from the loft or from the outside via an optional 100/120mm. fresh air intake manifold (WHS 100 AIM). Fresh air is delivered to the dwelling via a single 100mm. duct outlet. Stale air is discharged via a single 100mm duct outlet.
The Energex Whole House unit may be installed in a horizontal position standing on the supplied vibration isolation pads or fixed to a vertical surface, e.g. end gable wall. |
